People always wondered how Nascar could be so popular and interesting, well this Sunday proved why. It had all the workings of an interesting movie and story to tell. 3 Former teammates racing hard until the end while the loved hero gets involved and blocked. It had wrecks and injuries that made people jump out of their seats and a surprise winner at the end, sort of. Those who have been following Nascar over the last few weeks seen the build up of a feud between Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano. Joey Logano who use to drive the #20 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing (GBR) switched teams to famed Roger Penske Racing during the offseason and left on not the best of terms really. Well this season, starting at the Daytona 500, a little twitter feud broke out between the two former teammates Logano and Hamlin and has been boiling over since on the race track.

A new car design, divorce and a new racing Boyfriend is apparently all it took to make history as Danica Patrick became the first female driver to win the pole for the Daytona 500 as well as the first female driver to win a pole in the Sprint Cup Series. Patrick was the 8th driver out and had to wait all day to see if any of the guys would beat her time and names like Ryan Newman and Jeff Gordon came close but couldn’t do the job. It’s been a year since Danica Patrick made her Daytona 500 Appearance and while this will do nothing but guarantee her a starting spot in the race, it will be fun to watch how she performs during The Great American Race.

We all have those moments, the driver in front of you does something stupid and you just want to remind them of that. Your eyes and face turn red, some profane language is said and that wonderful Road Rage comes alive. We never know when we do it to someone else unless the flip you the bird or scream at you, but how would you grade your road rage? Do you just shrug off the bad driving or do you do anything in your driving power to make sure that they know how bad of a driver they actually are. Vote Below!

It doesn’t matter how much experience you have, Shit Happens. That was the story from today’s X-Games competition in Aspen Colorado as Caleb Moore stole the show in a bad way. Moore is known for his tricks on his Ski-Do but this time around it didnt work out so well. Caleb Moore went to pull a back flip on his Ski-Do but didn’t get enough air. Half way thru his stunt, the blades from his ride hit the ground and launch him into the snow bank. As he landed, the Ski-do landed ontop of him and he was almost motionless on the hill. He woke up briefly and it appeared to only be a concussion. As they were bringing him to the hospital to be treated, they soon found out he had a Heart Contusion and had to go for Emergency Surgery. Everyone watched these games for the stunts and the thoughts of What If? Well today the Extreme Sports World received one of those answers.
If this wasn’t enough for the X-Games, Caleb own brother Colin had completed the opposite of his brother. Colin attempted the back flip and cleared the rotation but overshot it. He flew off the Ski Do once it landed and separated his Pelvis. Of what a day for the Moore Family. Everyone can only hope for the best for Caleb during his surgery and Colin does not require any surgery to heal. The life of a X-Games Athlete can be tough sometimes…Here is the video of Caleb Moore’s Backflip gone wrong:

Move over Bugatti, those speed records are no longer yours! The Hennessey GT is now the official record holder of the 0-300 KMH time as of January 10th. It was certified by Guinness World Records that the average time for the Hennessey GT to make it up to 300km/h is 13.63 seconds. So between the time it took you to open this article and read the opening line, this car can hit 300 KMH. That is pretty sick timing and something that makes guys dream. The car had to do it twice and in different directions to take into account the wind speed and the time on record is an average of the two runs. Going with the wind, the GT took 13.18 seconds to reach this speed while going against the wind it took 14.08 seconds. The Bugatti took 22.2 seconds to reach this speed and now sits back and tries to figure out where to cut the weight and gain some speed.
