The themes of the 15th international workshop focus on the critical areas in cardiovascular biology and translational medicine, and include ‘Hot Topics’ in cardiovascular disease, such as cardiovascular remodelling and therapies for hypertension and molecular sensing systems associated with cardiovascular diseases. Inflammation biology, haemostasis and thrombosis. Genomics, genetics and transcriptions, and cell and molecular updates on pulmonary vascular disease, including genetics, novel treatments and non-invasive imaging in hypertension.
The Workshop focuses on appealing to basic, biomedical and clinician scientists at an early stage in their careers and encouraging them to develop a long-term interest in Cardiovascular Biology and Translational Medicine. It also attracts senior clinicians, clinicians in training, scientists and established PIs and post-graduates, from across several key disciplines and research areas.
The exciting programme for this one day event includes the international speakers Stefan Offermanns (Munich), Barbara Casadei (Oxford), Oliver Söhnlein (Munich), Jim Crawley (London), Jonathan Gibbins (Reading), Sir Mark Caulfield (London), Eva van Rooij (Utrecht), Laura Southgate (London), Ralph Schermuly (Giessen), and Vivek Muthurangu (London).
